Write The Hard Message
Helps you write the text or email you have been putting off, in your own voice.
There is a message I have been putting off. Ask me who it is going to, roughly what it needs to say, and how I want them to feel when they have read it.
Then write it for me. Short, warm, ordinary language, nothing that sounds like a company wrote it. Do not apologise more than once. If the awkward part is unavoidable, say it plainly and early rather than burying it at the bottom.
Hand back two versions — one short enough to send as a text, one that works as an email — and wait for me to pick before you change anything else.
